Miss Sam has been at Bright Ideas Childcare since it's opening in 2009. At first Sam worked part time filling in when necessary. She was attending Bridgewater State full time and serving in the United States Coast Guard. Over the course of the next couple of years Sam began to spend more and more time here at Bright Ideas. As a hard working and dedicated student, Sam combined her hands on experience and her college course material to become Lead Teacher qualified.
As the PreK Lead Teacher, Miss Sam's job is to ensure that she does everything possible to prepare her students for Kindergarten. She has been working in conjunction with the Plymouth Public Schools to ensure this is the case. Sam especially loves to get the children involved with hands on learning experiences. The PreK class is filled with fun and learning. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty!
Samantha continues to work towards her bachelors degree and also attends numerous professional development trainings to broaden her horizons and add to her portfolio of knowledge and experience. Samantha is the oldest of 6 children and has been around children her whole life as she watched her Mom, Miss Brenda, work in centers and run her own family childcare.
"I have found a passion in caring for and teaching children, it is in my blood."
